Can Cavachons Eat Broccoli? Absolutely — and Here’s Why It’s Great for Them

Yvonne Hanna

Broccoli isn’t just a healthy choice for people — it’s one of nature’s best whole-food boosters for dogs, especially Cavachons. This beloved breed, known for its gentle temperament and sensitive digestion, can benefit tremendously from broccoli when it’s prepared and portioned correctly.

Packed with fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins, broccoli can help support the areas where Cavachons sometimes need extra care — like gut health, skin and coat condition, and inflammation control.

Hidden Dangers of Air Fresheners for Dogs (and Pet-Safe Alternatives You Can Make Today)

Yvonne Hanna

Walk into most homes and you’ll be greeted with a burst of “fresh linen,” “ocean breeze,” or “apple cinnamon.” Over 75% of households use air fresheners in one form or another—sprays, plug-ins, wax melts, candles, or automatic mist machines. But here’s the catch: while these products make your home smell clean, many of them are hiding toxic chemicals that can silently harm your dog.

Your pup doesn’t get to choose the air they breathe—and what smells pleasant to us can cause long-term damage to them. Let’s look at the dangers, and then I’ll share a pet-safe, DIY alternative you can make today.

🐾 What Is Your Cavachon’s Love Language? Unlocking the Secret to a Deeper Bond

Yvonne Hanna

Have you ever noticed that your Cavachon greets you with a full-body wiggle when you say “Good boy or good girl”? Or maybe yours insists on curling up against you every night like a tiny shadow. Just like people, dogs have their own ways of giving and receiving love—and your Cavachon’s love language holds the key to a deeper, happier relationship.

Cavachons are affection-driven by design. A cross between the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the Bichon Frise, two breeds known for their companionship, they were practically born to love. But the way each Cavachon expresses that love can vary. Some crave cuddles, some need words of praise, and others light up at the sound of the

🐾 Understanding Your Pup’s World Through Their Eyes

Many people grew up hearing that dogs see the world in “black and white.” While it’s a catchy phrase, it’s not true. Dogs can see color—but not the same way we do. Their world is tinted differently, shaped by specialized vision.

So, what colors can dogs actually see—and how does this affect your Cavachon’s daily life? Let’s take a closer look.

🐾 Thoughtful Puppy Vaccination: Protect Your Dog Without Overloading Their System 🐾

Yvonne Hanna

Bringing a new puppy home is an exciting milestone filled with cuddles, playtime, and first adventures. But it also comes with big responsibilities—one of the most important being vaccinations. A carefully considered puppy vaccination schedule is essential for protecting your dog from serious diseases while also giving their developing immune system the chance to respond effectively.
Vaccines save lives, but giving too many too close together can stress your puppy’s body and create unnecessary problems. By following a thoughtful, well-planned vaccination schedule tailored to your puppy’s needs, you’ll ensure they are protected without overwhelming them.

🚗 Why a Dog Car Seat Is a Must-Have for Your Cavachon

Yvonne Hanna

Protect your pup, prevent travel stress, and ride in comfort together.

If you’re the proud parent of a Cavachon puppy, you already know how much they love to be near you, including during car rides. But did you know that traveling with your Cavachon without proper safety can put both of you at risk?

Many pet parents buckle up themselves but overlook car safety for their dogs. A dog car seat for small dogs, especially one designed with your Cavachon’s size and temperament in mind, can make a world of difference in safety, comfort, and behavior during every ride.

In this article, we’ll explain why a Cavachon dog car seat isn’t just a smart idea, it’s

🐾 Crate Training 101: How to Help Your Puppy Adjust to Their Crate or Pen (Without All the Tears)

Yvonne Hanna

At Cavachons by Design, our puppies are lovingly introduced to the crate and learn to sleep by themselves before they ever leave our home.

But we know that’s not always the case.

Whether your puppy came from us or somewhere else, adjusting to their new environment can still bring about uncertainty, especially during quiet crate or pen time. One of the most common concerns new puppy parents have is:

“Why is my puppy crying in the crate, and how can I help them feel safe?”

If you’re navigating that now, don’t worry — this guide is here to help. Below you’ll find the simple, thoughtful tips that make all the difference in helping your puppy feel calm,

It’s no secret: dogs and parked cars on sunny days are a dangerous, and sometimes deadly, combination.
